Pavillion Panorama

This series of organic forms are placed along a babbling brook in The Ramble of Central Park to provide necessary shelter, light, anonymity — but most of all, connection through shared experience.

Built to amplify, contort, or dampen the sounds of the water these creature-like pavillions harness the power of architecture to be one of the instruments in the orchestra of its environment. Trees, butterflies, and New Yorkers, young and old, are invited to join in the joy of ambient communication.
